At last night’s city council meeting, Athens City Auditor Kathy Hecht received the Auditor of State Award.
The award, designated by the Ohio Auditor of state David Yost, is given to local entities that file timely reports and receive a “clean” audit report for reports lacking in weaknesses or deficiencies.
“I am very happy for me and my staff,” Hecht said. “I’ve worked very hard to improve accountability.”
