Trojan Condoms sized up Ohio University this year and determined it was one of the 20 most sexually healthy colleges in the U.S.
Ohio University was ranked as having better sexual health than both Miami University and Ohio State University, according to a recent study by Trojan Condoms and Sperlings BestPlaces.
As the highest-ranking university in Ohio, OU was ranked 18th out of 141 schools on the company’s annual sexual health report card.
OU rose 55 spots from its 73rd-place ranking last year.
Miami dropped 46 spots since 2010 and is now at No. 107, while Ohio State fell 31 positions from its third-place ranking last year.
Ivy League schools such as Columbia University and Princeton University top the list each year, while several big football schools ranked lower, according to a news release.
Schools are rated based on sexual health awareness programs, contraceptive and condom availability and student opinions of campus health centers.
“Schools that did well in this year's report card tended to score uniformly high across all categories, while those ranked towards the bottom were less consistent in category grades," said Bert Sperling, president of Sperling’s BestPlaces.
