UPC invites students to spill guts with PostSecret event

University Program Council is offering students walking through Baker University Center’s third floor atrium today through Thursday the chance to anonymously submit their secrets on a postcard.

Kate Willse, a junior studying public relations who works with UPC, helped organize the event, based on the nationwide secret-sharing campaign started by Frank Warren.

“The executive board of UPC came up with the idea to have a PostSecret event, and it was something we really wanted to do,” Willse said.

UPC is a student-run programming board that hosts free events on campus, including movies, food events and music. At the PostSecret event, students can get free cookies and drinks as well.

“It is the one opportunity to get something off of your chest without having any consequences,” Willse said. “The anonymity is really cool.”

Students can come to the event during the day today through Thursday. The secret wall will continue to display everyone’s secrets. Anyone can submit their secrets at the event or bring them the UPC office, which is located on the third floor of Baker Center 363.
