Faculty Senate to discuss semester switch at last meeting of quarter

Faculty Senate will hold its final meeting of the quarter tonight but is not expected to vote on any resolutions.

Executive Vice President and Provost Pam Benoit usually has a presentation for senate but will not be able to attend tonight because she will be at the annual meeting of the Association of Public and Land-Grant Universities.

President Roderick McDavis will not attend the Faculty Senate meeting because he will be at the Association of Public and Land-Grant Universities meeting as well. McDavis attended the previous two meeting this year.

Faculty Senate will hold its primary discussion of changes to language in the handbook “in preparation for the transition to semesters,” Faculty Senate Chair Joe McLaughlin said in an email to senate.

"As always, I remind you that Faculty Senate meetings are open to all faculty and you should feel welcome to attend or send matters of concern to me or your college/campus senator,” he said.

Faculty Senate will meet at 7:10 p.m. today in 235 Walter Hall.
