This year, Sibs’ Weekend will be more than just the typical three days full of art exhibits, parties and sporting events. It will be a chance to jam with the beats of the up and coming rapper
Big K.R.I.T.
The Black Student Cultural Programing Board announced the concert earlier today via its Twitter account. Last year's Sibs Weekend concert featured Big Sean and Tyga.
Big K.R.I.T has collaborated and opened for noted musicians including Wiz Khalifa, Matt Miller, Ludacris and Chamillionaire. Big K.R.I.T’s talents became noticed in 2010 thanks to his first mix titled K.R.I.T Wuz Here. A month later the rapper was signed and owned a label with Def Jam Records.
Since 2010, Big K.R.I.T has created several albums including his most recent – Chopped and Screwed, a new mix tape titled 4Eva & A Day and is appearing in 2 Chainz's 'Spend It' video. The artist has already started working on a variety of other projects for the new year including a new single and album.
Concert details have yet to be released, however the show will take place during Winter Quarter's Sibs Weekend, which is scheduled for Feb. 17
