After receiving a report of a robbery Tuesday, Athens County Sheriff's deputies arrived to the Athens residence to find the alleged perpetrator hog-tied and unconscious.
A resident of Elliotsville Road in Athens returned home about 9 p.m. Nov. 29 to find a person exiting a rear window of the residence, according to a Facebook post from Athens County Sheriff Pat Kelly.
A juvenile who was with the owner called 911 as the resident chased the male perpetrator into the woods behind the residence, according to the post.
When deputies arrived at the residence, the man was hog-tied and unconscious, according to the post. He was transported to O'Bleness Memorial Hospital and will be charged with burglary.
The case is still under investigation as of Wednesday, and charges will also be filed for a second accomplice, according to the post.
