Athens Police are investigating the latest in a series of four burglaries on the east side of Athens, the last of which occurred Sunday.
Police responded to a residential burglary around 5 p.m. Sunday — one of several reported burglaries that have occurred within a mile of each other on Morris Avenue, Home Street and Hudson Avenue, according to an Athens Police news release.
Burglars have been entering through the back door and have broken in while the residence was unoccupied, according to the release.
Police are recommending citizens to illuminate dark areas around the house and lock doors and windows.
Police say no suspects have been identified at this time.
