Three Ohio University Students students have formed the nations first Sports Management Professional Fraternity. Dubbed Sigma Alpha Sigma Mu, the fraternity will be the third student run fraternity in Ohio University’s Business School.
In a press release, the group stated that its purpose is to tailor its members for a job in the world of sports.
The group’s first recruitment efforts are slated to begin on Jan. 23, and will be open to freshmen, sophomores and juniors.
The three founders of the fraternity, Douglas Vinci, Marcya Betts, and Dustin Boucher will serve as president, vice president and treasurer, respectively.
