A male Ohio University student has reported an attempted aggravated robbery.
The alleged event occurred between 4:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m Jan. 18, according to an Ohio University Police Department crime alert posted today.
The victim was reportedly walking through the Seigfred Hall parking lot — Lot 41 — when he was confronted by the unknown male suspect, described as a white male in his early 30s, wearing a dark ball cap, Carhart coat and blue jeans.
The described suspect approached the male, showed him a knife and told the victim to give him his wallet. The victim refused, was able to evade the suspect and avoided injury.
