Ohio University asked students, faculty and staff Tuesday to hold off on upgrading to Firefox 9 because of compatibility problems with some services.
Firefox 9 does not work well with Blackboard, Bobcat Buy, PeopleSoft or the My Ohio Student Center, according to the email from the Office of Information Technology.
The email directed those who have already upgraded their Firefox browsers to downgrade to a previous version. A downgrade link is available on OIT's website. Those who are having problems with the newer version of Firefox can also try using a different browser.
The email directs those who have questions to call the OIT Service Desk at 740-593-1222.
