In Tuesday's paper, we ran our first ever story covering Nelsonville City Council. Unfortunately, we made a few mistakes.
But we're about as new to Nelsonville as most of our readers are, so forgive us as we learn the proper name of the organizations.
What we called the Nelsonville Policy Committee is actually known as the Athens-Hocking Solid Waste District policy committee.
That's a pretty big difference — one our interim local-news editor isn't likely to know because of a lack of familiarity with the covered topic.
So let's recap: new topic; somewhat-new editor; oh yeah, and pretty much a new writer.
Therefore, bear with us. We're dealing with a lot of new things here.
