Ohio University’s Graduate Student Senate members are slipping on their running shoes for the fight against cancer this spring.
Members will be participating once again in OU’s Relay for Life, the largest OU student fundraiser on campus.
GSS is encouraging all graduate students to participate in the 18-hour event. This year, the relay will be held May 11–12 at Pruitt Field, from 5 p.m. to 11 a.m.
This year’s goal is to raise $66,000 with the effort of about 74 teams. Each team will be responsible for its own fundraising efforts.
There will be entertainment, food and prizes for all participating teams. At this year’s Relay for Life, there will be a Miss Relay Pageant, in which male participants will dress up in women’s clothing to compete for the title. They will also try to break the world record for the most people spooning at once.
