Student Senate to hear presentation from textbook sales company

Updates regarding Ohio University’s blood drive contest and a website wanting to sell textbooks will be addressed at Wednesday’s Student Senate meeting.

Dean of Students Ryan Lombardi will give a presentation updating senate on the blood drive battle pitting OU's greens against each other.

Jenny Hall-Jones, assistant dean of students, represents South Green; Kent Smith, vice president for Student Affairs, represents West Green; and Lombardi represents East Green in the contest. The competition began at the beginning of Winter Quarter.

Zac Sebo, co-founder of Campus Shift, a site that offers students textbook purchase and rental opportunities and other services, will present to senate.

Senate supports FourYears.com, another website offering textbook services to OU students.

I’m not really sure what to expect,” Student Senate President Kyle Triplett said. “I’m sure they would like our support, but as far as I stand, we’ve committed to FourYears at this point. But we’re happy to have (Campus Shift) at the meeting.”
