Two groups have joined forces to hold a rally on College Green this Wednesday “demanding justice” for Trayvon Martin, a Florida teen who was shot and killed about a month ago.
“Justice for Trayvon” and “OU in Hoodies” originally scheduled separate rallies, but have teamed up and are asking students and Athens residents to join them near West Portico at 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
“Wear hoodies,” said Molly Yanity, a Justice group organizer, in a statement. “There is no schedule, or plan. If people want to talk, they will. If people want to chant, they will. If they want to make and hold signs, do it.”
