Sean Kingston will visit all the beautiful girls of Ohio University when he opens for Wiz Khalifa at The Convo May 18.
The Campus Involvement Center made the announcement Thursday while students were on spring break after several weeks of negotiation over a contract.
“We are very excited about the addition of Sean Kingston to the Spring concert,” said Andrew Holzaepfel, associate director of the Performing Arts Series. “We think that he will bring great energy to the show and will complement Wiz’s performance.”
Ticket for the show went on sale Feb. 1, and in just one day the floor and bleacher seats had sold out at.
Kingston is most well known for his 2007 single “Beautiful Girls,” which samples the bassline from Ben E. King’s “Stand By Me.” The song stayed at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks.
Kingston has worked with a number of artists over the years including Gwen Stafani, Beyonce and Niki Minaj and has a new album to be released this year titled Back 2 Life.
Tickets are still on sale for the 200 seat level and obstructed view for $25 and $20.
