Shively adds carry-out dining option for Spring Quarter

With Nelson’s closing, Shively has added a carry-out option to control student traffic within the dining hall.

Students will swipe in, just as they do at each mealtime, and receive “a large sectioned container and an insulated cup with a lid,” according to Ohio University Culinary Services’ website. The students are then free to walk around any section of the dining hall and collect whatever they would like as their meal.

However, there are restrictions to this option. Students must have the lid to their container completely closed and are restricted from eating their meals in the dining hall. They must also visit a “checker station” before leaving the hall to ensure that the rules are being followed.

The carry-out option will be available throughout spring quarter during Shively’s hours of operation, which can be located on the Ohio University Culinary Services website.
