Jack Brose visited Student Senate Wednesday night to tell members about Ohio University's smallest college.
Brose, dean of OU's Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, told senate about the medical school's offerings.
The college awarded 109 degrees last school year, Brose said.
He told senate about OU-HCOM classes, including a “simulated symptoms” laboratory in which Athens residents act out different symptoms for students to diagnose, Brose said.
Brose said that this concept, first used at OU, has since been put into place at colleges across the nation.
“If you’re interested in medicine, I urge you to give this college a look,” Brose said. “I don’t think you’ll find anything better anywhere else.”
