Student Senate to address balancing of general fee, fund

At its last meeting of the quarter, Ohio University’s Student Senate will discuss this year’s progress and vote on two resolutions.

The first resolution will address rebalancing the general fund and general fee, Triplett said, and the second is an internal resolution revolving around senate’s budget.

Senate will hear a presentation from Jack Brose, dean of OU's Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine.

“(The college) hasn’t had an opportunity to speak to senate,” Student Senate President Kyle Triplett said. “A lot of undergraduates don’t know what the medical school does.”

There will also be an informational presentation about fracking.

Next quarter, senate plans to work more with its safety campaign, Lifelines of Safety, and focus on events such as Pride Week, Athens Beautification Day and Take Back the Night.

Senate will meet at 7:15 in 235 Walter Hall.
