Student Senate President Kyle Triplett gave his “State of the Senate” address at Wednesday’s meeting.
In his address, Triplett commended the success of several recent initiatives, including senate's efforts to help seniors who have met requirements but are several credit hours short graduate on time.
The effort was headed by Academic Affairs Commissioner Amrit Saini.
“Don’t let anyone ever tell you that Student Senate doesn’t matter or doesn’t do anything,” Triplett said. “We have countless examples to prove this.”
Though Triplett highlighted the year’s successes, he also addressed candidates that will be campaigning for his position Spring Quarter.
“I am confident that each of you will be fantastic senators next fall, but I need you to continue to be fantastic senators this spring,” Triplett said.
