Albany Fire Department responded to four calls of down trees and power lines within forty minutes during last Tuesday night's storm.
At 8:47, a tree fell, knocking power lines off a house on Hill Avenue in Albany.
As firefighters were responding, they discovered a downed tree at State Route 681 South at the Athens-Meigs County line where one firefighter remained until the tree was removed, according to a media release from the Albany Fire Department.
American Electric Power responded to the scene as well.
AEP was notified 11 minutes later, when an electric pole leaning into the street was observed by firefighters who were already responding to the incident on State Route 681.
A tree down in Setty Road at 9:27 was the last call the Albany Fire Department responded to last night.
Albany Fire department could not be reached for comment at the time of his article.
