Summer Inman

William Inman found guilty of murdering wife

A man accused of killing and burying his estranged wife in a septic tank with the help of his parents was convicted in the Hocking Court of Common Pleas Tuesday.

William “Bill” Inman II, 27, was found guilty of two counts of aggravated murder, single counts of kidnapping, tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse.

Summer Inman, who was kidnapped March 22, was found March 29 in a septic tank behind Faith Tabernacle Church gagged to death with a zip-tie, according to authorities.

William Inman II has not been sentenced yet but could face the death penalty.

William Inman II’s parents, Sandra Inman and William Inman I, are being charged with murder and aggravated murder, respectively. Their individual trials are scheduled for later this year.

Sandra Inman could face 15 years in prison, and William Inman I could face the death penalty.

Summer Inman was the mother of three children. She had been married to William Inman II for six years when she asked for a divorce because she said he was being cruel and neglectful.
