HISEY

Kasich appoints two new OU trustees

Before the 2011-12 school year ended, Gene Harris was appointed as the Board of Trustees’ chair and Peter Mather was named the new board secretary, but changes to the board continued over the summer with the appointments of J. Patrick Campbell and Diana Hisey as trustees.

Diana Hisey

Diana Hisey was appointed to be an Ohio University trustee by Gov. John Kasich at the beginning of June.

Hisey, who replaced board member C. Robert Kidder, will serve a nine-year term.

“We are very excited about Ms. Hisey joining our Board of Trustees,” said OU President Roderick McDavis in a previous Post report. “She is well-suited to make a wonderful contribution.

Hisey, a 1972 OU alumna, studied communications and theater during her time at OU.

“We were delighted that she was the person selected,” McDavis said. “We always want alumni back when we can have them.”

Hisey is currently CEO and chief creative officer of The EDI Group, Inc., which is based in Cincinnati and provides event planning, production and marketing services.

J. Patrick Campbell

J. Patrick Campbell was appointed to a three-year term as a national trustee on OU’s Board of Trustees.

The decision was finalized at the board’s June meeting. Campbell replaced Frank Krasovec.

Campbell is a 1971 graduate and the current chief executive officer of Universal Companies, a spa treatment website.

Campbell has also served as the President of NASDAQ U.S. Markets and Chief Operating Officer of NASDAQ, Inc. for five years.

National trustees do not have voting rights on the board.
