PICKERINGTON—Ohio University President Roderick McDavis has been given a pay raise, guaranteeing him $415,000 a year until 2017.
McDavis' new contract, which was approved at Thursday's Board of Trustees meeting, guarantees a base salary of $415,000, compared to his current salary of $390,321.
McDavis, OU's 20th president, has also served as provost and vice president for academic affairs and professor of education at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmod, Va. from 1999–2004. He was also dean of the College of Education at University of Florida from 1994–99.
