An Ohio University freshman was found dead in his dorm room Sunday evening.
The student, Terrence Ambro, was studying history and lived in Washington Hall, according to a university news release.
"I am deeply saddened to share the loss of first-year student Terrence Ambro," said Interim Dean of Students Jenny Hall-Jones in a news release.
The death poses no danger for students, Residential Housing Executive Director Peter Trentacoste said.
Staff members from Residential Housing and Counseling & Psychological Services arrived at Washington Hall Sunday night to provide support to students, according to the news release.
