A Citizens Bank in Nelsonville was robbed at gunpoint Thursday around 2 p.m., and the suspect is armed and still at large.
"(Nelsonville Police) have told me that a man wearing blue jeans and a ski mask walked in with a handgun," said Athens County Sheriff Pat Kelly.
The FBI has been made aware of the robbery, Kelly said, adding that the Sheriff's Office will be assisting Nelsonville Police as needed.
The amount of cash taken from the bank will not be disclosed, Kelly said.
