Ohio University's Board of Trustees has a new member, an Athens resident who is already familiar with OU.
Ohio Gov. John Kasich appointed David Scholl to serve as a trustee starting this month.
Scholl, an OU alumnus, is a partner with Athenian Venture Partners's healthcare practice and former senior vice president of Diagnostic Hybrids, Inc.
"Ohio University has strongly influenced my life, my professional career and my family in so many positive and significant ways," Scholl said.
Scholl's appointment extends until May 2021.
"We are very pleased to welcome David Scholl to our Board of Trustees," Ohio University President Roderick McDavis said. "We look forward to his leadership on our board ... especially as we focus on enriching the student experience and elevating our leadership role and efforts in the area of technology transfer and commercialization with the state and nation."
