After the first week back on campus, students had the opportunity to spend the afternoon exploring campus, eating cookies, and playing forgotten childhood games.
Games on the Green, sponsored by University Program Council, could be found all over campus today with Human Foosball on West Green, Hungry Hungry Hippos on College Green, Connect four outside Baker University Center and a 3D Inflatable Twister game on South Green.
“Every year we plan different free events for students,” said Samantha Caulfield, a junior studying public relations.
UPC sponsors different types of events for students, such as Mom’s and Dad’s weekend and Homecoming events, Caulfield said.
All UPC events are free and sponsored by Student Action Council, said Mallorie Jones, vice-president of UPC and a senior studying Health Services Administration.
According to Jones, the UPC tries to relate with students when planning the events. Adding that free food, drinks, and a good time are offered throughout the entire year.
Next Thursday, UPC is scheduled to have a Hunger Games event from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on College Green.
