The Center for Student Legal Services at Ohio University paid a visit to last night’s Graduate Student Senate meeting.
Melissa Greenlee, an attorney with Southeastern Ohio Legal Services, discussed the Ohio Landlord-Tenant Law and Student Legal Services ability to review student’s leases.
“I’ve already saved students approximately $28,000 between things like joint and liability clauses, co-tenant/roommate agreements, and security deposit disputes,” Greenlee said.
The current GSS student budget stands at $3,079 after a successful GradFest this past Saturday. Two more have been planned for Saturday, Nov. 3 and Saturday, Dec. 1, both at 8 p.m. at Jackie O’s Public House. November’s GradFest theme is yet to be determined and December’s is Karaoke.
The meeting concluded Monday night with a resolution being passed to adopt Natasha Aduloju as the new senator for the college of Health Sciences and Professionals.
