I understand the need for university students to have a good time, and personally, I have not had a problem with the fest concept. However, as the wife of a veteran and a strong supporter of the student veterans on our campus, I felt the need to comment on the picture on Page 3 of the Monday, Oct. 1 edition of The Post.
Without getting on a soapbox, I am going to suggest the people in the picture and the organizer of the fests check out the following website: http://www.legion.org/flag.
Please learn the correct way to handle and display the flag. Several of your fellow students have served in some dangerous situations so you could enjoy the freedoms you do.
