After a recent attack on the character of Steve Kane, I felt compelled to voice my full support of him for sheriff. I have known him for a number of years both personally and professionally. He is a man of sound moral character, honest, filled with integrity, and is someone in whom I can place my complete trust. He is highly qualified, dependable and takes seriously his oath to care about our safety. He has dedicated his life to cleaning up the streets and protecting the public. And to see the accusations made against him with blatant disregard for the truth saddens me. I can attest to his character because I am his neighbor and his personal friend. I know him as a man who is completely aboveboard and fair, who cares deeply for you and the safety of your family, and who lives his life using Godly principles.
Steve Kane is someone that you, whether a Republican or a Democrat, should want in office. We need good people of good character to fill the political offices in our communities, state and nation. The defamation that has been spoken of this man is untrue. You can count on the fact that Steve Kane will do the right thing to the best of his ability. He will help you when you need help and do his best to protect you and keep you safe. I wholeheartedly put my endorsement behind Steve Kane for Sheriff. He walks in the type of integrity and character that we need in office. In my opinion, Athens County could not do better than to elect Steve Kane for Sheriff. There is nothing about Steve that will keep me from marking the ballot by his name on Election Day. The people of Athens County are being blessed that he is willing to come out of retirement to serve them. And I can promise that the people of Athens County will be well-served. You will not find a better man to fill the office of sheriff for Athens County than Steve Kane. I have a “Steve Kane for Sheriff” sign in my yard!
