Student Senate to table throughout November to promote current initiatives

Student Senate will begin tabling on Tuesday to help increase student involvement and feedback.

Senators will be available to speak with students at the top of Baker University Center from noon until 5 p.m. about senate’s tuition survey and their letter writing campaign to Ohio Gov. John Kasich.

Students interested in participating in either project can meet with senators during these tabling sessions and get involved, said Student Senate President Zach George.

Senators will have a letter students can sign addressed to Gov. Kasich detailing Ohio University student concern over increasing college costs and the need for state funding in OU’s budget.

Those interested in discussing tuition specifically will be able to speak with senators about the tuition survey, which has already generated about 1,200 responses in a week, George said.

Senators will also be tabling from noon to 5 p.m. on Nov. 8, Nov. 12, Nov. 14 and Nov. 20.
