The few resolutions at Friday’s Board of Trustees meeting were passed unanimously with very little discussion.
New construction projects and instructional fee increases were relegated to the consent agenda, which is passed as one unit and didn't receive discussion.
Trustee David Wolfort presented two resolutions from the Resources Committee. The first, which allowed the committee to represent the entire board in receiving updates on and managing endowment and non-endowment investments. It passed, as did a resolution to dispose of a real property bequeathed to the university by Earl Q. Teaford for the highest monetary value.
The consent agenda included an average 3.5 percent increase in instructional fees on regional campuses and four new renovation projects: Galbreath Chapel, Bush Hall, Bromley Hall and Central Food Facility.
Galbreath Chapel is the only project to be funded by state appropriations and debt issuance, Wolfort said. The others will be funded by Residential Housing and Culinary Services auxiliary reserves. The total cost for all four projects is budgeted at over 21 million dollars.
