An Ohio University employee pleaded not guilty to two misdemeanor charges for allegedly threatening to bring a shotgun to work.
Stacy Gorham, 53, pleaded not guilty to his arraignment hearing Monday for one count of possessing criminal tools and one count of inducing panic.
The charges stem from an incident Friday when Gorham, an OU utility worker, believed he would be fired after losing keys and said he would bring a gun to work if the university attempted to fire him, according to a university news release.
University police officers found two shotguns, two long rifles, a SKS, an AK-47, two handguns and ammunition for each firearm, according to the news release.
Gorham has been placed on administrative leave and ordered not to return to campus, according to the news release.
Gorham could be sentenced to a maximum of 360 days in jail and a maximum fine of $2,000 if convicted of both charges at a trial, according to the Ohio Revised Code.
Gorham is due back in court Jan. 7 for a preliminary hearing.
