2012: Year in Review

2012 was a busy year for Ohio University and Athens. Check out the links below for a rundown of the biggest photos and stories of the year.

 

Campus news included tuition increases, administrative salary increases, new student leaders, many new campus administrative hires and dozens of student events.

Local news included presidential and vice-presidential visits to Athens, a fire at Palmer Fest, a presidential election, and a rooftop fire at the Research and Technology Center.

Culture news included the Nelsonville Music Festival, two Number Fests, the annual Halloween Block Party and a Machine Gun Kelly concert police said ended in a riot.

Sports news included Gary Trent Day, a Sweet 16 run for the men's basketball team, a victory against the Penn State football team, a football bowl win and basketball coach John Groce's departure.
