A four-car crash left one person injured Wednesday afternoon.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Congress and Union streets and was likely caused because of slippery road conditions, said Officer Neal Dicken of the Athens Police Department.
One person has been taken to O'Bleness and was the only person injured in the accident. That person’s name was not available.
Police blocked off the area from Washington to Union and called for a truck to spread salt over the intersection, which is now open.
