Ohio University’s provost office named Martin Tuck the new dean of Ohio University-Chillicothe.
Tuck has served as the interim of the college since May 2011. He also has served as an associate professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry on the Athens campus and an academic administrator at OU since 1986.
Tuck’s 2012-13 salary is $133,250.
"I was impressed with the ways in which Marty understood and articulated the tremendous possibilities that exist for the Chillicothe campus," said Pam Benoit, executive vice president and provost, in a university news release.
As an OU faculty member, Tuck served as chair of the molecular and cell biology program, a faculty senator and associate provost for academic affairs.
Tuck said in the release that he is honored to have been selected.
"The campus and its community have a great deal of potential and bright prospects, and I look forward to being part of the future of both," he said.
