Student Senate to be held in Copeland Hall tonight

Ohio University Student Senate will meet tonight in a different location than the body is used to, but the goals of Senate will remain the same.

The rising cost of higher education will drive the discussion of Wednesday's meeting in Copeland Hall, Room 104 at 7:15 p.m.

Senate recently completed a survey of OU students concerning tuition and a letter writing campaign to the Ohio Statehouse raising concerns over loss of state funding coming to OU.

Mel Ruberg will be presenting to Senate about his product which gives riders and transit authorities real-time updates on where buses are and when they will arrive at their stops. The city is interested in adopting this software, said Student Senate President Zach George, adding that he hopes the university will take interest in the system as well.
