Athens County is under a Level One Snow Emergency, according to Athens County Sheriff Pat Kelly’s website.
The county has been under such a level for the past hour, according to the sheriff’s Facebook page.
A Level 1 means “roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads are also icy, drive carefully,” according to the Ohio Attorney General.
