A brick thrown early Saturday morning shattered the front door at Big Mamma’s Burritos, 10 S. Court St.
Between 12 a.m. and 1 a.m. on Saturday morning, a Big Mamma’s patron took a brick out of an interior wall and threw it at the glass door.
The door had just been replaced a day earlier, said Laurel Sira, a freshman studying studio art who works at Big Mama’s.
Big Mamma’s has not pressed charges on any individual, because no one was identified in connection with the incident, Sira said.
“It was so packed that we couldn’t see the door,” Sira said. “We didn’t know the door had been broken until it cleared out. We definitely would press charges if we knew who did it, but we just have no idea.”
Big Mamma’s did not contact Athens Police Department or Ohio University Police Department in response to the incident.
