The Ohio University Police Department issued a campuswide email Wednesday about a man wanted for attempted aggravated robbery on Tuesday.
The white, male suspect is between 5'6" and 5'7" and was last seen wearing a black hoodie sweatshirt and blue jeans, according to the alert.
At about 7:00 p.m. Tuesday on Edgehill Drive near Lincoln Hall, the suspect approached a female victim and demanded money while holding her at knifepoint, according to the alert.
The victim did not comply with the suspect and managed to leave the scene unharmed, according to the alert. She reported the crime at about 7:43 p.m. Tuesday.
The case is currently under investigation by OUPD.
Ohio University officials recommend students remain alert to their surroundings, walk in groups and report suspicious activity to the local police.
