Stephanie Davidson was named interim chancellor of the Ohio Board of Regents to replace Jim Petro, who recently retired.
Davidson is the vice chancellor of academic affairs at the Board of Regents and holds two degrees from Ohio State University. She has worked with the Board of Regents since 2007.
“I was delighted to find out that Stephanie Davidson was recently announced as interim chancellor of the Ohio Board of Regents,” OU President Roderick McDavis said during Friday’s Board of Trustees meeting.
Petro, 64, was appointed by Ohio Gov. John Kasich in March 2011. He announced his retirment in December and retired Feb. 1.
