An Ohio University college with two associate leaders is looking to narrow the positions down to one.
Joe Shields, vice president for Research and Creative Activity and Dean of the Graduate College, announced Thursday that the college is conducting a search for a permanent associate dean.
The college’s current interim associate deans are Cynthia Anderson and David Koonce.
Anderson made $81,205 this school year while Koonce made $96,484, according to OU’s record of employee salaries.
Patrick Barr-Melej, chair of the History Department, Lynn Maurer, associate dean of the Graduate School at Southern Illinois University, and Koonce are the candidates for the position.
The college has set up three times for students to meet each candidate.
The first is on Monday, March 11 in the Baker University Center Multicultural Center from 2:00 p.m. to 2:50 p.m. for Barr-Melej.
Next, Maurer will meet with students on Friday, March 15 from 11:00 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. in Baker Center, room 239.
Finally, on Monday, March 18 from 2:00 to 2:50 p.m., Koonce will speak to students in Baker Center, room 230.
