Milliron Fest kicked off this year’s fest season with a small crowd and calm atmosphere Friday to match the size of the townhouse-lined street.
Brooke Bunce, an Ohio University junior studying journalism, said although she enjoyed partaking in the fest, its size and exclusivity may have contributed to its small attendance level.
“For the freshmen who are looking forward to their first spring fest, they may be disappointed because things seem much smaller than usual,” Bunce said.
Though the fest was smaller than other fests — including Mill Fest, which took place Saturday — those hosting parties appreciated the scale, said Jasmine Garcia, a junior studying public relations who lives on Milliron Street.
“It’s so fun to have a fest on my street,” Garcia said. “I like that it’s smaller than the bigger fests because it’s easier to control and manage. The small streets like us need love and fun just like the bigger ones.”
