Ohio University’s Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine has partnered to host this year’s Ohio Osteopathic Symposium in Columbus — a five-day conference that will allow OU-HCOM students to earn school credit.
OU-HCOM collaborated with the Ohio Osteopathic Association for this year’s symposium, which will be held from May 15 to 19. The program will emphasize the importance of war veterans' health and is expected to draw about 500 participants.
“More and more our primary care doctors are treating veterans in civilian facilities and it is imperative that our annual CME programming address their issues. This training will greatly improve the quality of care for veterans in Ohio,” said Dr. Kenneth Johnson, director of OU-HCOM.
The cost to attend is free for OU-HCOM students who will be able to earn three credits — maybe more depending on the students’ declared disciplines. Discounted tickets are available for OU-HCOM graduates for $600 after April 27.
