The Werks announce lineup for annual Werk Out Festival

The Werks, an Ohio band that is known for its eclectic beats and fusion of different genres such as psychedelic rock and funk, announced the lineup for its fourth annual Werk Out Festival.

Located in Thornville at Legend Valley Music Center, the festival takes place during three nights and features other music acts such as GRiZ, EOTO, Ghost Owl, Rumpke Mountain Boys and Conspirator.

The festival takes place on the Autumnal Equinox on Sept. 12-14 and will celebrate the “diversity and potential for change in ourselves and our community,” according to the festival’s website.

The performances will be themed with the date, including celebrations of the natural world, purification and self-expression.

The festival will also have activities for children, food vendors and crafts. Camp supplies will be sold for those staying on the campground for the duration of the festival.

The Werks will also perform at the Hang Out Festival, Wakarusa, Camp Bisco, Electric Forest and other events throughout the summer leading up to their own festival.

The band was founded in 2005 and released its first album, Dig It, in 2007. The Werks recently released their fourth album, which is self-titled and follows their 2010 release, The Werks Live at The Werk Out Music Festival. The album can be streamed for free online and downloaded at the band’s website, www.thewerksmusic.com.

The festival is produced by Trickle Productions and The Werks Music, LLC. Passes for all ages start at $70 for two days, $85 for three days and $94 at the gate.
