A West Virginia man appeared in court last month for a hearing regarding judicial release and community control violations.
Gregory Wheeler, 36, was convicted in 2010 of receiving stolen property and two counts of theft. He received three years in prison, according to a news release from Athens County Prosecuting Attorney Keller Blackburn's office.
He was also ordered to pay $600 in restitution to Wal-Mart, which will be paid at a rate of $25 per month. It is expected to be paid in full within two years, according to the court docket.
“Wheeler’s violations stem from failing to report to his change of address to his supervising officer as well as receiving several additional charges out of West Virginia,” Athens County Prosecutor Keller Blackburn said in the news release.
