A cable failure at Ohio University left four campus buildings without power Monday morning.
Grosvenor Hall and Grosvenor West Hall, which house the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, Parks Hall, which houses University Medical Associates, and Wilson Hall, the College of Arts and Sciences administrative building, are all running on generators or emergency power, according to an OU alert.
The outage was caused by a failed underground feeder cable, according to OU’s website. The replacement cable is expected to be delivered Monday.
“Power supply to these buildings is limited or generator-supplied at this time,” according to OU’s website.
Employees and students should conserve power using electricity only when necessary and refraining from using non-critical devices.
