'Office' comedian Craig Robinson to perform during Homecoming Week

Although the NBC series The Office said farewell this past spring, Ohio University fans of the show don’t have to miss out on their fix of one cast member.

Craig Robinson, who played employee Darryl Philbin on the hit show, is the latest in a series of comics headed to Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium. He completed seven seasons on the workplace comedy.

He’s also performed in a slew of minor movie roles in films such as Knocked Up and Pineapple Express, along with main roles in Peeples and this summer's hit This is the End.

Robinson will take the MemAud stage Oct. 10, the Thursday of Homecoming Week. He is the second NBC primetime cast member announced to perform at OU this year, with Nick Offerman of Parks and Recreation taking the stage in November. Offerman's Parks and Rec co-star Aziz Ansari performed in 2011.

Tickets — which go on sale Monday at noon for Concert Connection and Wednesday at noon for the general public — are $35 for the first 10 rows and $25 for the remaining rows.
