#Halftime Fest dates and lineup announced for the fall

Updated 8/22/13

The success of last year’s double dose of the highly anticipated rap/EDM festival Number Fest in the fall and spring has organizers double dipping again.

The Number Fest 12th edition will still be held in April 2014, but now partiers don’t have to wait until the spring to enjoy the popular event. Number Fest Half Time will be held Oct. 5, with headliners Hoodie Allen, Riff Raff, The Chainsmokers and Mike Stud.

Dominic Petrozzi, founder of Number Fest, said that they are trying to start a new tradition that will continue annually and be a welcome back concert for students.

"Rather than doing a Number Fest edition every fall and spring, we're really focusing on blowing up the April event with massive artists and big lineups," Petrozzi said. "Then regulating Halftime as a half day event with still nationally recognized artists but not as large scale as we will be doing in the spring."

Headliner Hoodie Allen is a Jewish rapper from New York playing off the famous Jewish writer, director and comedian Woody Allen.

After a slew of mix tapes, All American became the artist’s debut album which peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard 200. Since that album, he has released an acoustic album and two 2013 singles, “Cake Boy” and “Make It Home.”

Rapper Riff Raff and EDM duo the Chainsmokers will back Allen alongside up-and-coming artists Mike Stud, D-Why, E-Trayn and Yizzo.

More artists are yet to be announced, but early birds can purchase pre-sale tickets Thursday at 10 a.m. for $20 at ticketfly.com while supplies last. Regular price tickets will go on sale shortly afterward for $30.
