OU president receives bonus, salary increase for second consecutive year

Ohio University President Roderick McDavis was given a raise and bonus for the second consecutive year at today’s Board of Trustees meeting.

Citing McDavis as the right person at the right time for OU, the board unanimously voted to raise his salary by 2.89 percent — increasing his base pay to $427,000. McDavis will also receive a one-time, 15 percent bonus based on his previous base pay totaling $62,250.

“Overall, we are very pleased with his performance,” said Anderson, board chairperson. “We believe Ohio University is very well positioned for the future.”

Trustees voted at their Thursday meeting at Columbus State Community College.

McDavis was originally hired in July 2004 with a base salary of $380,000. He was given a pay raise in 2009 and 2012.
